Me and Myself

Hi,
College days is always about happiness, fun and entertainment. We used to hunt in packs to cinemas, hotels, everywhere. Sometimes we find people who always used to be in the crowd suddenly going alone to a bar or a cinema. Whenever we ask them who accompanied and the answer will be "me and myself". We used to make fun as we considered going alone is cardinal sin.
After college days, life is completely different with more of problems, work, earning and not the least getting married.
When i think retrospectively the "me and myself" concept, it should be given a serious thought in our busy schedule.
The only person to whom we can be true is to ourself. So putting in some questions and answering them truthfully atleast to ourself makes our mind clear and happy like what anti-virus for our pc.
This removes most of the spam and unwanted programmes in our system and re boot our system installing the newer updates. This makes our system energetic and to look forward to the near future refreshingly.
When i tried myself answering to my own questions i was rattled about the masked life and the real life. But atleast it helps in analyzing the truths and solutions needed to live a good life.
If the relationship doesn't make us happy than it is left up to us to decide on whether to pursue or not because we might be facing the wrong one or "googly".
In this modern world, even if we cannot decipher and hit a boundary, atleast we should learn how to bat over these mystery balls.

The Butterfly Effect by a Farmer

Hi,
This is a forwarded message i got in my email and felt very interesting and sharing in blog. Thanks to Dr.Sreeram for this message. The story goes like.........

On reading this i feel real guilty about myself. I opposed getting the t.v as i had the same notion but my dad convinced and they took my ration card and got the t.v. successfully. After thoughts as NORMAL HUMAN, made me feel right on my part as it was my money which i am getting back.....and i believe many who got the t.v felt the same. But on the contrary the way the farmer behaved is like a nail on my head.Kudos to the farmer and hope we get the next goverment devoid of all free schemes like Nitish's Bihar and move forward.
The deed of the farmer, i strongly believe will cause "Butterfly effect".....which is a metaphor that encapsulates the idea that if one were to make small changes in the past, the resulting changes to the present would be huge and different.
Times up......Wake up .....Get ready to make the change!!!!!!!!!
Ladies and gentlemen.......nothing is for free, everything comes with a price on it.

Long live Our Culture....

Hi,

I had a deep thought and analyzed many times in my mind before coming up with the idea of posting this blog.

Me and my friend were travelling to coimbatore and came across an incident which made me feel very bad and started cursing our system.

When we were travelling towards coimbatore in NH 47 which at present is a two lane with umpteen traffic all the time, there was a road traffic accident. As it was night time we were not sure were the accident has taken place and so we rightly parked behind a truck. I could see people showing their supposed to be intelligence and started moving on the left which is mud road and formed the second lane. After a couple of minutes our public transports started plying on the right side and blocked the traffic from the opposite side by making it the third lane. The story never ended there but state transport buses started taking the fourth lane which is the right side mud lane. So everyone stalled the traffic on both the sides and as usual everyone out of their respective vehicles and started their imagination of what would have happened across us and everyone had their own to cook.

After 10 minutes heard an ambulance sound on the opposite direction. The siren was on for about 30 minutes and i could hear very clearly sensing that it is going to pass by any minute. But it got stalled in the so called four lane traffic and was struggling to pass the traffic. After 40 minutes it went past us and traffic got cleared in the descending order. While we started to move from the traffic to my horror the accident site was just 300 to 400 metres away from where we were. I started cursing our system, our people's mind set and compared them with the west. So much was my frustration i could not hold back any longer.

The incident was in my mind for quite few days and really felt bad about it. I felt that everyone should change as west and follow proper road sense. Even i came out with an idea of passing a resolution in the Parliament that everyone should re apply for new license within a span of two years but this time a proper test both written and practical should be conducted. Those who pass this test should be the ones to take the road from 2013(I mean a proper test not like 2G license distribution......!!!!!!!!). In doing so we can see a paradigm shift as far as road sense is concerned.Dont u agree with me?????.

I was trying to analyze the mind set of both the east and the west and in doing so i am afraid of the change.

In the western countries people are more concerned about what others think about them in the public life and follow all rules and regulations. They make everyone comfortable as far as public discipline is concerned. When it comes to their private life, they are least bothered about what others think and do what makes them only happy. Not bothered a pinch about letting their parents, child or their partners(!!!!) in the middle of nowhere.

In India, we are least bothered about the public discipline but when it comes to their own private life, more concerned about what others think and lead a very disciplined life. Whether they like it or not, try to be closer to their own family i.e.,taking care of their parents, their partner and children even if they are not 100% happy.

In India we call a person whoz out of marriage as divorcee whereas they name them as single which in turn paves the way for hunting more!!!!

I am not concluding what we do in public is good but we can be a little bit refined and not forgetting to hold on to our culture roots in private life too!!!!!!!!

To put in Kamalhassan's Dasavatharam style....kadavul (road sense)ellanu sollalae...... eruntha nallarukkum
So the diversion starts......which road(culture) do you choose????

Long live India........

Whoz the BOSS???????

Hi,
We all talk so much about BRIC countries, their development, growth, infrastructure and the march towards super power status. We are really proud of what we have achieved in the last 2 to 3 decades and looking forward to the heights we grow in the next decade or two.
I used to talk to my friends living abroad about how we are progressing in all departments and how we are going to be on par with the countries they live in......!!!!.But the grim reality is that we are on the degenerative state and still going further down maybe swiftly towards the brink of extinction.
Are you wondering i'm mad and blabbering??????Absolutely not!!!!!!!!I'm true......
India is very proud about being the second largest manufacturer in Cement and predicts growth to be 10% annually. Isn't it great? No my dear friend. Cement industries are more damaging to the environment and cause irreparable hazards to both health and environment (h&e). But cement factories are banned in most of the developed countries, they pay more and import from under developing countries. We see money........
Being involved in textile business too, i could see all the possible damages caused to both h&e. India shares 6% of the global market and we aim much higher year on year. Even though we produce..............., all the latest innovative machines are imported and techniques are borrowed from developed western countries. The buyers also demand the products to be produced from their latest staple and we also oblige to do so.
Around the city there are lots of complaints of ground water mixing with dyeing water....... even in agriculture fields. There are lots of factories which let the dyeing water into the bore well for their monetary benefits but in turn causing irreversible damage to the ground water and soil.......
Even though everything is borrowed from them, those same machineries are banned for usage in their respective countries. But we ......here use them and make sure that we spoil both h&e.
The same thing goes in for all the industries which use chemicals like leather, fertilizer to name a few. To put it in short, "chemicals are directly proportional to h&e. The more the chemicals the more the irreparable damage."
The generation which is living right now is enjoying the money and power which comes with the destruction but what is left for the future generation?
Do they feel an iota of sympathy for the future??????
The western developed countries are preserving the environment for the future generation and steadily moving forward. But we think ourselves as the boss as we are producing what they want and minting money. But we have to think real deep to conclude whoz the boss....????We can only call ourself as wealthy laborers but not the boss. The real boss is calculative enough to extract the maximum from his highly skilled labors and if the nation suddenly wakes up, is cunning enough to look out for the aspiring countries which wants to see money and grow.
I came across a book which has written about Mr.Kumarappa who lived during the Gandhian era. An environmentalist at that time was against Nehru's aspiration to develop India like Russia by implementing heavy industries. He wanted India to develop only by developing agriculture that too without cultivating potentially harmful soil degrader.
Our aviation department is under dilemma whether to construct New mumbai airport by destroying the mangroove forest or to acquire only a part of SEZ land owned by the richest in business. What say you??????
To put it in Actor vadivelu's style "evan evallavu adichalum thangaaran da......evan romba nallavannnu solli taan da........". Doesn't it aptly suit for what the mind we are currently involved in ?????????
We are in search for wealth but in turn losing on nature which is supposedly left for all the future generations to live. Contrarily this thinking is taken care of in the west.We are puppets who can only dance to the tunes of the show man.
So you say "whoz the boss?????"

We are Axed

Hi,
Last sunday while skimming The Hindu-Cinema plus, a movie name caught my eye - Karungaali. This is a tree which is used for making axe which in turn used to cut trees.
The only thing which struck a chord is Politicians. We (karungaali tree) make the politicians(axe) who in turn cut us(tree).
Even though i feel so bad when various scams pop out like pop corn, i feel much worse of the feeling that people are getting more and more immune(including me). I wonder how we are so immune to the corruption thats happening all over.
Even the so called fraud samiyaars who got caught red handed on tape not the one who is striking your mind right now but the one who gimmicked chain magic, lingam magic and so on. He swindled but after sometime he started public services like building hospitals, providing water, roads etc.
The don of dons, Pablo Escobar too did so much good for the people, which shielded him from the hands of cop for so many years.
They do the same thing what our karungaalis do but do atleast return a part of it.
But our beloved ruling politicians even after becoming an octogenarian are hesitant to do some good for the people and making sure not a penny is dropped from their pocket even unknowingly. They start saving for their son, grandson till the grandson of the next millenium. Addresses all the issues pertaining to their family based income. They do help people by giving freebies but regain it back by other means. I really like a phrase from Rajinis movie which urge the people to ask for job rather than free sarees and dhoties.
Another septuagenarian milking money in sugar and cotton which in turn made each and every common person suffer due to sky rocketing inflation.
I donno whether they will stop swindling even when they turn super centenarian.............i think certainly not!!!!!!!
Even the younger generation politicians from the same blood do the same old thing........why blood-same blood!!!!!!!!!
Even after their death i dont think people will be relieved as another new person gonna hold the baton and start the same relay.
A revolution or coup which can change the whole scenario has to happen to sanitize the whole nation .........to prevent the axe from destroying the poor tree.

Disability

Hi,
As the age passes philosophy is getting deep rooted inside.
I feel like calling myself in a term we used to call all the older generation...."Peruusu".
I used to have major discussions with all my peers about what life is all about, are we living our life to the fullest and most importantly are we happy......?????
I cannot say i am unhappy all the time but many a time feel like it.
Even when we are happy we cannot do what we really feel like doing due to the society and the restrictions it has nailed on us. When i was surfing the net i came across the term...."disability". I searched wikipedia for the meaning of it and this is what WHO says
"Disabilities is an umbrella term, covering impairments, activity limitations, and participation restrictions. An impairment is a problem in body function or structure; an activity limitation is a difficulty encountered by an individual in executing a task or action; while a participation restriction is a problem experienced by an individual in involvement in life situations. Thus disability is a complex phenomenon, reflecting an interaction between features of a person’s body and features of the society in which he or she lives."
Do we all suffer from disability?.....I think the answer is a big YES.
Our culture is nurtured in such a way that we all have to lead a life with nothing but restrictions
in both activity and participation (as WHO defines.....).
Are we allowed to yell at the top of our voice, or dance or do what we like to do in public?......no, bcoz society thinks we are rude, act like a professional, so have to mind ourself, follow what all others do and set an example to others.
Is this is the life we are destined to live.........?????? Yes .......juz follow what others do and supress all our inner feelings!!!!!!
Enna pollatha Ulagamma daa??? We call ourself as normal but call those who does what their brain and heart like to do and not cared about what others brain think as psychosocial disabled people.
We have to think twice before pointing towards the so called disabled people as disabled as the real personality with total disability is no one but ..........us.
Wish i be one among them and shatter the shackles that has been thrust upon us by the society.
Adios.

Green Revolution

Hi Guys,
Its been really long time since i blogged but after hectic schedule with my business i have a lovely theme to write upon.
Everyone is very much aware of the fact regarding global warming and stuff like that.
I had a deep thought about it and when considering what a layman will think about global warming the answer is "i dont care". This is what everyone's mentality is all about when we speak about global issues. We can blame it on the developed world, developing world and so on but the damage is as such to the globe itself.
The only way to minimise damage control is one and only by hard rule to the common man so he is left with no other choice than to follow it atleast by hate.
To control global warming.........can we stop using motor transport or minimize electricity consumption or infrastructure development or deforestation..... no we can't.
Atleast can a man be contented with what he got and lead a peaceful life the answer is always a perpendicular middle finger.
When people were asked to be very conservative about water no one gave it a thought. When the then CM of Tamilnadu made it a hard rule that rain water harvesting should be done then it got materialised but then she lost her job which is another story.
The present CM made a rule that tamil movies should have tamil title for tax waiver and made tamil titles possible.
Taking a cue from their work ......i suggest a rule to control global warming.
PLANT TREES.
Trees minimize Carbon di oxide emission which is the main cause(72%) for global warming.
Trees breathe CO2 for their living and emits O2 which we breathe.
If we say "one family one tree" no one is serious.
I have a plan.....ten years plan for green revolution.
Make a rule that after ten years electricity, motor vehicles etc will be alloted based only on how many trees they grow in their house and working place.
If we implement this rule right away people will be left with no other option than to grow trees wherever they could atleast for their own benefits or not to get bereaved of their luxury.
That too the first category trees should be one fruit bearing and one for medicinal importance is a must which indirectly helps in controlling food inflation too. Second category is trees for furniture and paper. Third one is flower and ornamental trees.
For people in flats, there should be provision for planting trees individually just like obtaining parking space individually. When we can spend so many lakhs to obtain a flat why not a small space for growing trees be added to it. Dont i smell good.!!!!!!!!!
If this comes into effect people will be more worried about their trees than even money as trees will be the deciding factor on their own luxury.
If cricket is a religion then after this revolution trees will also be if not more religious.
Please take this into consideration and let this mother earth live for our future generations to breathe upon.
Lets hear bird chirping, trees sashaying not in the forest but also in and around our area too. Dreaming about that kind of environment itself makes me feel so good.
I even thinking about put-forth this idea to our environmental minister for consideration.
Awaiting your valuable comments.
Adios.
