We used to hunt in packs to cinemas, hotels, everywhere. Sometimes we find people who always used to be in the crowd suddenly going alone to a bar or a cinema. Whenever we ask them who accompanied and the answer will be <span style="font-weight:bold;">"me and myself"</span>. We used to make fun as we considered going alone is <span style="font-style:italic;">cardinal sin</span>.<br />After college days, life is completely different with more of problems, work, earning and not the least getting married.<br />When i think retrospectively the "me and myself" concept, it should be given a serious thought in our busy schedule.<br />The only person to whom we can be true is to ourself. So putting in some questions and answering them truthfully atleast to ourself makes our mind clear and happy like what anti-virus for our pc.<br />This removes most of the spam and unwanted programmes in our system and re boot our system installing the newer updates. This makes our system energetic and to look forward to the near future refreshingly.<br />When i tried myself answering to my own questions i was rattled about the masked life and the real life. But atleast it helps in analyzing the truths and solutions needed to live a good life.<div>If the relationship doesn't make us happy than it is left up to us to decide on whether to pursue or not because we might be facing the wrong one or <b>"googly".</b></div><div>In this modern world,<b> even if we cannot decipher and hit a boundary, atleast we should learn how to bat over these mystery balls.<br /></b>Adios</div>chandrasegarhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15903306460125709441noreply@blogger.com66tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3087845711572691745.post-37551989849702306802010-12-24T06:39:00.000-08:002010-12-26T03:29:08.928-08:00The Butterfly Effect by a Farmer<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_n95WeECzT50/TRckup6yGLI/AAAAAAAAADY/hGxcvnvvCeU/s1600/be.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 261px; height: 193px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_n95WeECzT50/TRckup6yGLI/AAAAAAAAADY/hGxcvnvvCeU/s320/be.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5554949049329785010" /></a><br />Hi,<br /> This is a forwarded message i got in my email and felt very interesting and sharing in blog. As it was night time we were not sure were the accident has taken place and so we rightly parked behind a truck. I could see people showing their supposed to be intelligence and started moving on the left which is mud road and formed the <em>second lane</em>. After a couple of minutes our public transports started plying on the right side and blocked the traffic from the opposite side by making it the <em>third lane</em>. The story never ended there but state transport buses started taking the <em>fourth lane</em> which is the right side mud lane. So everyone stalled the traffic on both the sides and as usual everyone out of their respective vehicles and started their imagination of what would have happened across us and everyone had their own to cook.</div><br /><div>After 10 minutes heard an ambulance sound on the opposite direction. The siren was on for about 30 minutes and i could hear very clearly sensing that it is going to pass by any minute. But it got stalled in the so called four lane traffic and was struggling to pass the traffic. After 40 minutes it went past us and traffic got cleared in the descending order. While we started to move from the traffic to my horror the accident site was just 300 to 400 metres away from where we were. I started cursing our system, our people's mind set and compared them with the west. So much was my frustration i could not hold back any longer.</div><br /><div>The incident was in my mind for quite few days and really felt bad about it. I felt that everyone should change as west and follow proper road sense. Even i came out with an idea of passing a resolution in the Parliament that everyone should re apply for new license within a span of two years but this time a proper test both written and practical should be conducted. Those who pass this test should be the ones to take the road from 2013<em>(I mean a proper test not like 2G license distribution......!!!!!!!!)</em>. In doing so we can see a <em>paradigm shift</em> as far as road sense is concerned.Dont u agree with me?????.</div><br /><div>I was trying to analyze the mind set of both the east and the west and in doing so i am afraid of the change.</div><br /><div>In the western countries people are more concerned about what others think about them in the public life and follow all rules and regulations. They make everyone comfortable as far as public discipline is concerned. When it comes to their private life, they are least bothered about what others think and do what makes them only happy. Not bothered a pinch about letting their parents, child or <em>their partners(!!!!)</em> in the middle of nowhere. </div><br /><div>In India, we are least bothered about the public discipline but when it comes to their own private life, more concerned about what others think and lead a very disciplined life. Whether they like it or not, try to be closer to their own family i.e.,taking care of their parents, <em>their partner</em> and children even if they are not 100% happy. </div><br /><div>In India we call a person whoz out of marriage as <em>divorcee </em>whereas they name them as <em>single </em>which in turn paves the way for<em> hunting more!!!!</em></div><br /><div>I am not concluding what we do in public is good but we can be a little bit refined and not forgetting to hold on to our culture roots in private life too!!!!!!!!</div><br /><div>To put in Kamalhassan's Dasavatharam style....<em><strong>kadavul (road sense)ellanu sollalae...... eruntha nallarukkum</strong></em></div><div><strong><em></em></strong> </div><div><em>So the diversion starts......which road</em>(culture) <em>do you choose????</em> </div><br /><div><strong>Long live India........</strong></div><br /><div>Adios. </div>chandrasegarhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15903306460125709441noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3087845711572691745.post-81963307591713905362010-09-11T02:43:00.000-07:002010-09-11T04:27:57.762-07:00Whoz the BOSS???????<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_n95WeECzT50/TItkDbh6jmI/AAAAAAAAADA/qvhfTKIYIZs/s1600/t-shirt_graphic_search-of-common-wealth_thumb_500_500.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 320px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_n95WeECzT50/TItkDbh6jmI/AAAAAAAAADA/qvhfTKIYIZs/s320/t-shirt_graphic_search-of-common-wealth_thumb_500_500.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5515612178737696354" /></a><br />Hi,<div>We all talk so much about <b><i>BRIC </i></b>countries, their <i>development, growth, infrastructure and the march towards super power status</i>. We are really proud of what we have achieved in the last 2 to 3 decades and looking forward to the heights we grow in the next decade or two.</div><div>I used to talk to my friends living abroad about how we are progressing in all departments and how we are going to be on par with the countries they live in......!!!!.But the grim reality is that we are on the <i><b>degenerative state</b></i> and still going further down maybe swiftly towards the <i>brink of extinction</i>.</div><div><i>Are you wondering i'm mad and blabbering??????</i>Absolutely not!!!!!!!!I'm true......</div><div>India is very proud about being the second largest manufacturer in Cement and predicts growth to be 10% annually. Isn't it great? No my dear friend. <i>Cement industries are more damaging to the environment and cause irreparable hazards to both health and environment (h&e).</i> But cement factories are banned in most of the developed countries, they pay more and import from under developing countries. <i>We see money........</i></div><div>Being involved in textile business too, i could see all the possible damages caused to both h&e. India shares 6% of the global market and we aim much higher year on year. Even though we produce..............., all the latest innovative machines are imported and techniques are borrowed from developed western countries. The buyers also demand the products to be produced from their latest staple and we also oblige to do so. </div><div>Around the city there are lots of complaints of ground water mixing with dyeing water....... even in agriculture fields. There are lots of factories which let the dyeing water into the bore well for their monetary benefits but in turn causing irreversible damage to the ground water and soil.......</div><div><i>Even though everything is borrowed from them, those same machineries are banned for usage in their respective countries</i>. But we ......here use them and make sure that we spoil both h&e.</div><div>The same thing goes in for all the industries which use chemicals like leather, fertilizer to name a few. To put it in short, "<i><u>chemicals are directly proportional to h&e. The more the chemicals the more the irreparable damage."</u></i></div><div>The generation which is living right now is enjoying the money and power which comes with the destruction but what is left for the future generation? </div><div>Do they feel an <i>iota of sympathy</i> for the future??????</div><div>The western developed countries are preserving the environment for the future generation and steadily moving forward. But we think ourselves as the boss as we are producing what they want and minting money. But we have to think real deep to conclude <i><b>whoz the boss....????</b></i>We can only call ourself as <i>wealthy laborers but not the boss</i>. The real boss is calculative enough to extract the maximum from his highly skilled labors and if the nation suddenly wakes up, is cunning enough to look out for the aspiring countries which wants to see money and grow.</div><div>I came across a book which has written about <b>Mr.Kumarappa </b>who lived during the Gandhian era. An environmentalist at that time was against Nehru's aspiration to develop India like Russia by implementing heavy industries. He wanted India to develop only by developing agriculture that too without cultivating potentially harmful soil degrader.</div><div>Our aviation department is under dilemma whether to construct New mumbai airport by destroying the mangroove forest or to acquire only a part of SEZ land owned by the richest in business. What say you??????</div><div>To put it in Actor vadivelu's style <i>"evan evallavu adichalum thangaaran da......evan romba nallavannnu solli taan da........"</i>. Doesn't it aptly suit for what the mind we are currently involved in ?????????</div><div><b>We are in search for wealth but in turn losing on nature which is supposedly left for all the future generations to live. Contrarily this thinking is taken care of in the west.</b><i>We are puppets who can only dance to the tunes of the show man.</i></div><div>So you say <i>"whoz the boss?????"</i></div><div>Adios.</div><div><br /></div><div> </div>chandrasegarhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15903306460125709441noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3087845711572691745.post-8793620296681307882010-09-01T04:28:00.000-07:002010-09-01T06:28:42.743-07:00We are Axed<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_n95WeECzT50/TH5UFbinitI/AAAAAAAAAC4/C1TTHsLESqc/s1600/images+(1).jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 289px; height: 174px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_n95WeECzT50/TH5UFbinitI/AAAAAAAAAC4/C1TTHsLESqc/s320/images+(1).jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5511935446217099986" /></a><br />Hi,<div>Last sunday while skimming <i>The Hindu-Cinema plus</i>, a movie name caught my eye - <b><i>Karungaali</i></b>. This is a tree which is used for making axe which in turn used to cut trees. </div><div>The only thing which struck a chord is <i>Politicians</i>. We <i>(karungaali tree) </i>make the politicians<i>(axe) </i>who in turn cut us<i>(tree)</i>. </div><div>Even though i feel so bad when various scams pop out like pop corn, i feel much worse of the feeling that people are getting more and more immune(including me). I wonder how we are so immune to the corruption thats happening all over.</div><div>Even the so called <i>fraud samiyaars</i> who got caught red handed on tape not the one who is striking your mind right now but the one who gimmicked chain magic, lingam magic and so on. He swindled but after sometime he started public services like building hospitals, providing water, roads etc.</div><div>The don of dons, <i>Pablo Escobar</i> too did so much good for the people, which shielded him from the hands of cop for so many years.</div><div>They do the same thing what our karungaalis do but do atleast return a part of it.</div><div>But our beloved ruling politicians even after becoming an <i>octogenarian</i> are hesitant to do some good for the people and making sure not a penny is dropped from their pocket even unknowingly. They start saving for their son, grandson till the grandson of the next millenium. Addresses all the issues pertaining to their family based income. They do help people by giving freebies but regain it back by other means. I really like a phrase from Rajinis movie which urge the people to ask for<i><b> job rather than free sarees and dhoties</b></i>.</div><div>Another <i>septuagenarian</i> milking money in sugar and cotton which in turn made each and every common person suffer due to sky rocketing inflation.</div><div>I donno whether they will stop swindling even when they turn super centenarian.............i think certainly not!!!!!!!</div><div>Even the younger generation politicians from the same blood do the same old thing........why blood-same blood!!!!!!!!!</div><div>Even after their death i dont think people will be relieved as another new person gonna hold the baton and start the same relay.</div><div><i><b>A revolution or coup </b></i>which can change the whole scenario has to happen to sanitize the whole nation .........<i>to prevent the axe from destroying the poor tree</i>.</div><div>Adios</div><div><br /></div>chandrasegarhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15903306460125709441noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3087845711572691745.post-62376034570623543592010-08-26T06:17:00.000-07:002010-08-26T07:29:45.165-07:00Disability<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_n95WeECzT50/THZ51yG0jkI/AAAAAAAAACI/qRN8dVX4EYk/s1600/images.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 200px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 199px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5509725159024791106" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_n95WeECzT50/THZ51yG0jkI/AAAAAAAAACI/qRN8dVX4EYk/s320/images.jpg" /></a><br /><div>Hi,<br />As the age passes philosophy is getting deep rooted inside.<br />I feel like calling myself in a term we used to call all the older generation<strong>...."Peruusu".</strong><br />I used to have major discussions with all my peers about what life is all about, are we living our life to the fullest and most importantly are we happy......?????<br />I cannot say i am unhappy all the time but many a time feel like it.<br />Even when we are happy we cannot do what we really feel like doing due to the society and the restrictions it has nailed on us. When i was surfing the net i came across the term...."<strong><em>disability"</em></strong>. I searched wikipedia for the meaning of it and this is what <em>WHO</em> says<br /><em>"Disabilities is an umbrella term, covering impairments, activity limitations, and participation restrictions. An impairment is a problem in body function or structure; an activity limitation is a difficulty encountered by an individual in executing a task or action; while a participation restriction is a problem experienced by an individual in involvement in life situations. Thus disability is a complex phenomenon, reflecting an interaction between features of a person’s body and features of the society in which he or she lives."</em><br />Do we all suffer from disability?.....I think the answer is a big <strong>YES</strong>.<br />Our culture is nurtured in such a way that we all have to lead a life with nothing but restrictions<br />in both activity and participation (as WHO defines.....).<br />Are we allowed to yell at the top of our voice, or dance or do what we like to do in public?......no, bcoz society thinks we are rude, act like a professional, so have to mind ourself, follow what all others do and set an example to others.<br />Is this is the life we are destined to live.........?????? Yes .......juz follow what others do and supress all our inner feelings!!!!!!<br />Enna pollatha Ulagamma daa??? We call ourself as normal but call those who does what their brain and heart like to do and not cared about what others brain think as psychosocial disabled people.<br />We have to think twice before pointing towards the so called disabled people as disabled as the real personality with total disability is no one but ..........us.<br />Wish i be one among them and shatter the shackles that has been thrust upon us by the society.<br />Adios. </div>chandrasegarhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15903306460125709441noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3087845711572691745.post-63566197717485045832010-05-18T04:15:00.000-07:002010-05-18T05:36:27.858-07:00Green Revolution<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_n95WeECzT50/S_KJeVf9l1I/AAAAAAAAACA/dFT1k7hFi7s/s1600/GlobalWarming.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 308px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_n95WeECzT50/S_KJeVf9l1I/AAAAAAAAACA/dFT1k7hFi7s/s320/GlobalWarming.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5472587651468859218" /></a><br />Hi Guys,<div>Its been really long time since i blogged but after hectic schedule with my business i have a lovely theme to write upon.</div><div>Everyone is very much aware of the fact regarding global warming and stuff like that.</div><div>I had a deep thought about it and when considering what a layman will think about global warming the answer is "i dont care". This is what everyone's mentality is all about when we speak about global issues. We can blame it on the developed world, developing world and so on but the damage is as such to the globe itself.</div><div>The only way to minimise damage control is one and only by hard rule to the common man so he is left with no other choice than to follow it atleast by hate.</div><div>To control global warming.........can we stop using motor transport or minimize electricity consumption or infrastructure development or deforestation..... no we can't.</div><div>Atleast can a man be contented with what he got and lead a peaceful life the answer is always a perpendicular middle finger.</div><div>When people were asked to be very conservative about water no one gave it a thought. When the then CM of Tamilnadu made it a hard rule that rain water harvesting should be done then it got materialised but then she lost her job which is another story.</div><div>The present CM made a rule that tamil movies should have tamil title for tax waiver and made tamil titles possible.</div><div>Taking a cue from their work ......i suggest a rule to control global warming.</div><div>PLANT TREES.</div><div>Trees minimize Carbon di oxide emission which is the main cause(72%) for global warming.</div><div>Trees breathe CO2 for their living and emits O2 which we breathe.</div><div>If we say "one family one tree" no one is serious.</div><div>I have a plan.....ten years plan for green revolution.</div><div>Make a rule that after ten years electricity, motor vehicles etc will be alloted based only on how many trees they grow in their house and working place.</div><div>If we implement this rule right away people will be left with no other option than to grow trees wherever they could atleast for their own benefits or not to get bereaved of their luxury.</div><div>That too the first category trees should be one fruit bearing and one for medicinal importance is a must which indirectly helps in controlling food inflation too. Second category is trees for furniture and paper. Third one is flower and ornamental trees.</div><div>For people in flats, there should be provision for planting trees individually just like obtaining parking space individually. When we can spend so many lakhs to obtain a flat why not a small space for growing trees be added to it. Dont i smell good.!!!!!!!!!</div><div>If this comes into effect people will be more worried about their trees than even money as trees will be the deciding factor on their own luxury.</div><div>If cricket is a religion then after this revolution trees will also be if not more religious.</div><div>Please take this into consideration and let this mother earth live for our future generations to breathe upon.</div><div>Lets hear bird chirping, trees sashaying not in the forest but also in and around our area too. Dreaming about that kind of environment itself makes me feel so good.</div><div>I even thinking about put-forth this idea to our environmental minister for consideration.</div><div>Awaiting your valuable comments.</div><div>Adios.</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div> </div><div> </div>chandrasegarhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15903306460125709441noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3087845711572691745.post-58136934924198261782009-11-06T23:25:00.000-08:002009-11-07T00:37:58.768-08:00If I were a baby again<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_n95WeECzT50/SvUxP_oOEEI/AAAAAAAAAB4/jyfOmNkh2ok/s1600-h/3848946.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_n95WeECzT50/SvUxP_oOEEI/AAAAAAAAAB4/jyfOmNkh2ok/s320/3848946.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5401277478948704322" /></a><br /><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /><blockquote><br />The <b>fellow Blog-a-Tonics</b> who took part in this Blog-a-Ton and links to their respective <b>posts</b> can be checked <a href="http://blog-a-ton.blogspot.com/2009/11/rules-and-reminders-for-blog-ton-4.html#comments"><b>here</b></a>. I was shocked to see a mobile clipping of a priest with a woman in a room in between Pooja room and disciples area. The so called priest collects pooja materials from the disciples and does prayer to God and in between having fun with the woman. To put it aptly in tamil- <b>"sandhulae sindhu paadikittu erunthaan" or "cycle gapplae aeroplane ottitu erunthaan" .</b><br />I was taken back and my mind was working overtime about the incident and blasting him in whatever words i could think of.<br />After my tempermental outburst while i was coming back to normal had a deep thought whether he is the only one to be punished for his grave desires or many. My answer is .....he is not the only one to be punished but few more left un noticed should also be included.<br />As men, we mostly crave for either money or women or both. When the greediness in either or both is partially fulfilled thirdly comes the urge for power.<br />In my story the priest craves for women. We blast him left, right and center but we forgive priests who crave for money in the name of God. Our system has changed in such a way that most of us offer money to the priest to drag his attention towards us and perform poojas in a very special way. More we offer more special treatment will be meted out. <br />The saddest part is they think offering money to the priest and not offering money in the hundi is like donating money to God which is not the case.<br />Since we all bribe(i cannot say the offering to priest is offering to God) we strongly feel that it is as normal as we bribe the officials and so its not grave desire.<br />Money oriented will be thinking about the money going to be offered by the disciple and women oriented will be thinking about what the waiting woman going to offer.<br />In either of these they are not true to their job.<br />Our mindset accepts money part but yet to come in terms with woman part of it. Maybe few years down the lane who knows we even think latter is also normal.<br />I am not here to support my story's hero but wondering the impact of commercialization even to the nucleus level ie.God.<br />Punish my Hero but also do not forget to punish the money fetish priests bar religion b'coz i feel both are equally grave desires.<br />The hero of the story was caught when he tried to make all his casanova adventures from his mobile into a c.d. maybe for his future reference or his memory card was overloaded.<br />I am waiting for your valuable inputs on my way of thinking.<br This is a selfish blog because i want to keep a note of the tips for myself for future reference as i am very poor in treasuring the articles safely.</div><div>Foremost of a healthy living is r<i>educing stress</i>. Adding <i>ginger</i> in our food keeps our mood high through the day and <i>apricots</i> fights headache due to stress. On top of all these being positive, enjoying recreation and meditation serves as better medication.</div><div><i>Junk foods </i>- order of the day in modern world. <i>Oats, oatmeal fights bad cholesterol together with brown rice, green tea and coriander.</i></div><div>Eating <i>apples and garlic</i> will help smokers and city dwellers fight respiratory diseases and power up the lungs.</div><div>Sharpening our memory by having<i> fish and flaxseeds </i>regularly.</div><div><i>Olive oil and almonds</i> reduces age related brain disorders.</div><div>The more we munch about democracy and politics more chances of blood pressure. So munch about politics and democracy with <i>banana, coconut water and orange juice</i> as these will negate hypertension.</div><div>We cannot stop going to fancy restaurants or road shops to have yummy food but <i>Cranberry juice, guava and coriander leaves</i> will take care of our digestive system.</div><div><i>Grapes, wine, lychees, green tea and amla </i>will take care of our fragile heart and help us to enter politics even at 70 and be a C.M or P.M. of our choice.</div><div><i>Yogurts </i>reduces tummy and fight for 6 packs.</div><div>We cannot stop staring at the computer for hours together waiting for comments but <i>boiled </i><i>tomatoes, egg yolk and raspberry</i> reduces eye diseases and help us stare more.</div><div>For our older generations <i>mushrooms, papaya and pomegranates</i> to reduce risk of cancer and <i>spinach</i> to prevent knee problems.</div><div> I have come to an end of recipes for <i><b>healthy life and happy blogging.</b></i></div><div>Adios. </div><div> </div><div><br /></div>chandrasegarhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15903306460125709441noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3087845711572691745.post-64674182979853890462009-10-04T22:05:00.000-07:002009-10-04T23:24:28.620-07:00Bane of our System<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_n95WeECzT50/SsmQ9YcdpjI/AAAAAAAAABM/lZLcWaxfTK0/s1600-h/images.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 119px; height: 85px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_n95WeECzT50/SsmQ9YcdpjI/AAAAAAAAABM/lZLcWaxfTK0/s320/images.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5388997813333763634" /></a><br />Hi guys,<div>On looking at my previous posts i sound more angry towards our people but i am not able to conceal my emotions time and again.</div><div>Here is another one of the same intensity but to a very large proportion.......<i><b>the thekkady tragedy...</b></i></div><div>Thekkady is one among the prime tourist destination in Kerala with backwaters like <i>munnar and kumarakom.</i></div><div>A lovely place with backwaters surrounded by coconut trees and tree branches popping out of water makes it look amazingly beautiful. Yes that was Polio day in both Tamilnadu and Karnataka.</div><div>After making sure that there in no long standing queue in the polio booth my wife and mother took him for polio vaccine.</div><div>Within 10 minutes of their exit my father called me to tell me a horrifying news that 3 children died in another polio booth in our city due to the vaccine. I immediately rushed to our booth to stop them from administering but it was too late as i could see my son gulping chocolates at the nearby store. I was shell shocked and not able to react. When i switched on my idiot box one tamil news channel was flashing this many dead in these districts and so on.</div><div>I then called my friend who is a paediatrician and was enquiring about the side effects or symptoms of vaccine failure and i passed on the message to my wife. He asked me to keep my kid under observation for 4 hours.</div><div>As a father and husband not able to show my stress rushed out of my home to a nearby hospital to see whats going on. Adding fuel to fire whoever i met, where telling me stories of this many death here, there and everywhere. Hospitals were overflowing with most of the parents with their kid .............<i>.in a state very hard to explain</i>.</div><div>Those four hours of observation on my kid for any signs or symptoms as a father has no words.</div><div>The next day it was claimed as hoax to the relief of all.</div><div>The next dose of polio drops which was just few weeks away had very few takers as a result of the previous shock caused by the rumour. </div><div>In <span class="Apple-style-span" style=" line-height: 19px; "><i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;">Psychology of Rumor</span></i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;">, Gordon Allport and Joseph Postman concluded that, <b>"as rumor travels it [...] grows shorter, more concise, more easily grasped and told."</b></span><span class="Apple-style-span" style=" line-height: normal; font-family:Georgia;font-size:16px;"> </span></span></div><div>The <i>animals</i>(it is insulting animals though) who are involved in these kind of rumors should be ordered capital punishment and it should echo in each and everyone's ears before trying to utter any of these kind.</div><div>This rumour bomb punishment should also include the politicians who give promises during election and treat it as words written in running water.</div><div>Its high time for the <i>younger generation</i> to break the shackles and make a <i>hybrid society</i> devoid of polluting agents in all forms.</div><div>Adios.</div><div><br /></div>chandrasegarhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15903306460125709441noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3087845711572691745.post-54238279217261058162009-09-04T02:18:00.000-07:002009-09-04T03:59:50.931-07:00A Man's Perception<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_n95WeECzT50/SqDy1NIpTAI/AAAAAAAAAA8/pWa0y3K_KgQ/s1600-h/Shilpa.JPG"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_n95WeECzT50/SqDy1NIpTAI/AAAAAAAAAA8/pWa0y3K_KgQ/s320/Shilpa.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5377564950953282562" /></a><br />In this blog i would like to share about our basic human psychology.<div>Yesterday as people say it is a black day b'cos of the tragic death of <i>Andhra C.M</i>. Y.S.Rajasekara Reddy.</div><div>I am not very good in politics (<i>maybe little knowledge about Tamilnadu politics)</i> but implying from all news channel and interviews he is supposed to be stalwart both in A.P. and Indian politics. Going by history right from his padayatra in 2004 till date supposed to a very good administrator and leader of the masses. </div><div>After going thru all the news a thing struck me about our human psychology and i could recall some of it which i studied during my post grad days. It goes like <i>humans have the tendency to think themselves as unique and also they have a feeling that something happening normally will not affect them.</i></div><div>This instinct in every individual's mind is the one which made us evolve from stone age to the modern techie age. </div><div>This Beautiful mind has produced many <i>Ramanujams, Einsteins, Gandhis and so on.....</i></div><div>But i am not here to talk about the <i>boon</i> but the <i>bane</i> of this thinking.</div><div>Here are some examples which many commonly follow...</div><div>Census says most accidental deaths caused due to head injury but we do not wear helmet or seat belt while driving.</div><div>Especially while driving we hardly keep our mobile phone down as we always feel thats the only time to catch up in business or with friends.</div><div>Saturday nights- our rule is to drink and drive which also leads to numerous accidents.</div><div>Do we spare a thought about Smoking and drinking which are injurious to health?</div><div>We do not like to wear a protective gear while travelling to swine flu affected areas.</div><div>We never head to things which our elder advises right from our childhood to what our government imposes when we are adult......but our perception is what we think is <i><b>ONLY</b></i> correct.</div><div>My reason for this blog is if <i>Y.S.R</i> headed to the advise of his colleagues not to travel due to bad weather conditions and postpone his trip this catastrophy would have been averted and his legacy would have continued for the welfare of the people.</div><div>It is left upto us to go by our mind and decide which road to take.</div><div>Adios.</div><div> </div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>chandrasegarhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15903306460125709441noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3087845711572691745.post-10094741195067926282009-09-02T07:23:00.000-07:002009-09-02T21:51:57.214-07:00A Tree Story.....<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_n95WeECzT50/Sp9LN1nD1vI/AAAAAAAAAAM/wleqL4ZhkJk/s1600-h/C1300104_960_sm.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 274px; height: 274px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_n95WeECzT50/Sp9LN1nD1vI/AAAAAAAAAAM/wleqL4ZhkJk/s320/C1300104_960_sm.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5377099181204952818" /></a><br /><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'trebuchet ms';">Hi guys after much of thinking and pondering about am i ready for this, I am making my virgin attempt to step into the world of blogging.<br />I would like to convey my regards to bharathi who instilled confidence to write my own blog.</span><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'trebuchet ms';"><br />I want to be a tree and putforth some questions to us(humankind).....<br />As a </span><i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'trebuchet ms';">Tree.</span></i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'trebuchet ms';">....</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'trebuchet ms';"><br />I form a very important form of your eco system and help you in many ways.<br />You have destroyed most of my mates for your own inhabitation and now after years of destruction you guys have woke up to new ideas but with flaws......<br />You come up with an extarordinary idea of "</span><i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'trebuchet ms';">one family one tree"</span></i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'trebuchet ms';"> but.....does your electricity board allow me to grow......the answer is no.....the people from e.b. not even with a slightest of hesitation chop me off much more than necessary.
